DailyNinja acquires WakeupBasket

DailyNinja, a hyperlocal subscription-based delivery startup has acquired Hyderabad-based Wakeup Basket in a cash and equity deal as reported with leading media resources. Alike to DailyNinja, WakeupBasket also caters milk and groceries. This deal marks DailyNinja’s second buyout in Hyderabad after the acquisition of 4amShop a couple of months ago.

This development comes after Sequoia-backed DailyNinja, founded by Sagar Yarnalkar and Anurag Gupta, secured two consecutive rounds of funding by Saama Capital, followed by Matrix Partners. The Bengaluru-based company aims to clock 100,000 daily transactions in the next six months, almost tripling its current daily volumes of 35,000.
