Laurus Institute Expands Logistics Training With a FOFO Franchise Model
Laurus Institute Expands Logistics Training With a FOFO Franchise Model
Laurus Institute is expanding its logistics and supply chain education network through a FOFO franchise model, combining practical training, corporate hiring partnerships, placement support and multiple centre formats for India’s growing workforce.

Laurus Institute Builds on 15 Years of Industry-Integrated Training

Established in Kochi in 2011, Laurus Institute has built its education model around practical logistics and supply chain training. The institute says it has trained and placed more than 4,000 students and works with more than 200 corporate hiring partners. Its wider group also includes consulting and logistics operations, giving learners live industry exposure.

The institute’s model is designed to address the gap between academic qualifications and workplace-ready skills. Training combines applied knowledge, practical experience and industry exposure, with programs covering procurement, warehousing, inventory management, export and import, distribution and strategic management.

A Practical Logistics and Supply Chain Education Model

Laurus offers multiple programs, including MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with PGDM and SAP, PGDM in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with SAP, Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with SAP, and a Certified Warehouse and Inventory Executive program. One core program is described as 30% theory and 70% practical learning.

The institute also highlights internships, industrial visits, live logistics operations, project-based education and corporate interactions. Its placement-led approach is supported by corporate hiring partners.

Laurus Takes Its Training Franchise Opportunity Pan India

The new franchise opportunity follows a franchise-owned and franchise-operated FOFO model. The franchise partner is responsible for capital investment, centre space, local operations and student admissions. Laurus supports the franchise through curriculum, infrastructure guidance, faculty training, branding, marketing and placement support.

The institute plans stronger support during the initial six to 12 months, with the central team supporting curriculum, training and placements.

Three Centre Formats and Investment Options

The franchise proposal includes three formats. A compact centre requires around 1,500–2,000 sq. ft. with an initial investment of ₹15–25 lakh. The standard centre requires approximately 2,500–4,000 sq. ft. and an investment of ₹25–45 lakh. A flagship centre of more than 5,000 sq. ft. requires an investment of about ₹45–75 lakh.

The investment is presented as covering interior fit-outs, classroom construction, branding, visual identity, marketing, centre setup, initial faculty requirements and the franchise fee. Final commercial requirements are to be discussed with the brand.

Expansion Starts With South India

For its initial expansion, Laurus highlighted Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Madurai, Hyderabad and Vijayawada as markets of interest, while the broader objective is to build a pan-India network. The opportunity is aimed at entrepreneurs who can manage local operations, student admissions and centre development while working with Laurus on training and placement systems.

With logistics, supply chain and warehousing skills becoming increasingly important, Laurus is positioning its franchise model around practical education, industry exposure and employability-led training. The model is designed for scalable expansion across India.
