Puma plans expansion in Tier- II/ III cities

Barely four years into Indian operations, sports lifestyle company Puma has set up 80 stores in the country and is scouting for opportunities to further expand its reach into Tier II and III cities apart from metros.

The Managing Director of Puma Sports India, Mr Rajiv Mehta, said, “The company has been doing well since the last 3-4 years and the general business outlook is bright. We now have about 80 exclusive outlets across the country and are keen to open more depending on the availability of good locations.”

Half of the stores are company-owned and the rest are franchisee operated. “Our association with Deccan Chargers over the last two years has been extremely fruitful and we see this essay of IPL helping us build our brand along with the most popular sport,” said Mr Mehta.
