Trent plans to scale up Star Bazaar stores

Trent Hypermarket intends to scale-up its Star Bazaar stores to 18 by end-next fiscal. It will be opening seven to nine stores. The investment per store would be Rs 7 crore. Presently, Trent operates seven Star Bazaar stores, of which three were opened in this fiscal. The new stores will come up at Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. As per Gordon Reid, COO at Star Bazaar, the company will focus on the southern and western region of India over the next one-year.
