Pickleball Kingdom has entered the Indian market with the opening of its first club in Gurugram, marking the indoor pickleball company’s international expansion into India. The new facility will serve as the company’s flagship location as it looks to build its presence in the country through future franchise expansion.
The club is owned and operated by BAQ Wizards and led by Bhanu Gulati, Anuj Duggal and Qudrath Ali.
The Gurugram facility houses eight international-standard indoor courts designed to support year-round play. These include two premium King Courts. The club will offer professional coaching, daily open play, court reservations, leagues, tournaments and community events.
Ace Rodrigues, Founder and CEO, Pickleball Kingdom shared, "The Kingdom has officially arrived in India. From day one, India was our number one choice for international expansion, and standing on these courts during the Grand Opening was an epic moment for our brand and a historic day for the global pickleball community. This is the beginning of a new era in India."
Following the opening of its flagship facility, the company plans to expand its network by identifying partners interested in developing Pickleball Kingdom locations across India.
The Gurugram club also offers Pickleball 101, a free introductory programme aimed at first-time players and designed to familiarise them with the sport.
"We are not just opening a club, we are building a movement. Our vision is to make pickleball a sport for everyone, across ages, communities, and cities, and create a strong foundation for its long-term growth in India," said Bhanu Gulati, Co-founder & Director, BAQ Wizards.
Anuj Duggal added, "We are delighted at the response towards our India Master Club in Gurugram. Pickleball enthusiasts who have walked in during the launch week have called it a 'world-class playing experience,' and newcomers to the sport have loved our Pickleball 101 sessions curated for beginners. Seeing the fun, enthusiasm, and big smiles on their faces has been extremely heartening and has reinforced Pickleball Kingdom's belief in building a vibrant community, having fun, and being fit."
The company intends to use coaching, community programmes, youth development, tournaments and corporate engagement to grow participation in the sport. Franchise expansion is also expected to form part of its longer-term strategy for India.
The company’s entry comes as pickleball participation and infrastructure continue to expand in India. The country’s existing racquet sports culture and rising interest in recreational sports have led to the development of more pickleball facilities and communities across cities.
"Launching in Gurugram is a pivotal moment in our global expansion strategy. What Bhanu, Anuj, and Qudrath have built here sets a new gold standard for indoor sports in India. The energy and reception we've seen prove that India isn't just ready for pickleball, it's poised to become a global powerhouse for the sport, and Pickleball Kingdom is proud to lead that charge," commented Rob Streett, President and Chief Global Officer, Pickleball Kingdom.
The Gurugram opening will serve as the starting point for Pickleball Kingdom’s wider India plans, with the company looking to develop its network through local partnerships and franchise opportunities while increasing access to indoor pickleball facilities.

Doritos, the world's No. 1 nacho chip brand, has partnered with Cinépolis India to launch Doritos x Cinépolis Popcorn, a co-created snack that combines the flavour of Doritos Nachos with Cinépolis' signature popcorn. Developed exclusively for moviegoers, the new offering brings together two popular snack formats to create what the brands describe as "The Superhit Crunch."
The collaboration reflects the growing importance of food and beverage offerings in India's cinema industry. With an estimated 150 million people visiting movie theatres annually and snacking emerging as one of the country's fastest-growing consumer categories, cinemas are increasingly becoming an important consumption channel for food and beverage brands. Beyond complementing the movie experience, food is now playing a larger role in how audiences engage with cinema during outings with friends and family.
The new product has been launched through FOOVIES, Cinépolis India's platform that integrates food with the movie-going experience. The platform offers the company's food menu across its cinemas, including in-seat ordering, regional menu options, and limited-edition products introduced during initiatives such as the Blockbuster Food Festival.
For Doritos, the collaboration marks an expansion of the brand's presence in social consumption occasions. Known for its bold flavours, the brand aims to extend its association with shared experiences by bringing its signature taste to cinema audiences through this partnership.
Devang Sampat, Managing Director, Cinépolis India said, "FOOVIES is built on a reality, that food and beverage is now as much a part of the cinema visit as the film itself. What has changed is that this side of the business has matured into something brands now want to build products for, the way they would for any serious retail channel. For FMCG brands, the value is no longer only in being seen. It is in becoming part of an experience people choose and look forward to, and that is what we built Doritos x Cinepolis Popcorn to be."
Ankit Agarwal, Marketing Director – Doritos, PepsiCo India shared, “At Doritos, we have always believed that snacking is closely linked to social moments and shared experiences. Cinema is one of the most powerful examples of that where people come together, spend time together and look for snacks that add to the excitement of the occasion. Our partnership with Cinépolis allows us to take Doritos into a new consumption moment in a way that feels true to the brand. Doritos X Cinepolis Popcorn brings together the familiarity of popcorn with the bold taste of Doritos Nachos, creating a snack experience that is made for the big screen.”
Doritos x Cinépolis Popcorn is now available across Cinépolis cinemas in India.

Nestlé India's MUNCH has introduced 'Hack the Crunch', a new gaming-focused campaign designed around the challenges gamers face while snacking during gameplay. The initiative brings together some of India's gaming creators through videos and live streams, positioning the brand within the country's growing gaming community.
The campaign is built on the insight that eating snacks during competitive gaming sessions can interrupt play, especially when both hands are occupied. Through creator-led content, MUNCH encourages gamers to come up with innovative ways to snack without breaking their focus, making the gaming community an active participant in the campaign.
Gopichander Jagatheesan, Director, Chocolates & Confectionery, Nestlé India said, "For us, staying relevant with young India has always meant being in-culture, earning a place in conversations as a participant, not an advertiser. This generation isn't just consuming culture. They're building it one stream, one reel, one hack at a time. With Munch Hack The Crunch, we entered the gaming world through a truth every gamer knows: when both hands are on the controller, snacking becomes a real challenge. But instead of handing them the answer, we asked the community to do what they do best – find a hack. And they delivered. Clever fixes, hilarious jugaads, and content that turned a campaign into a culture moment."
The campaign is being rolled out across social media channels and streaming platforms, where gaming creators are engaging audiences through the 'Hack the Crunch' theme while encouraging wider community participation.

This café is our way of giving him an address - a place where children and families can step into the world of Chhota Bheem and enjoy an experience inspired by the stories and characters they love, beyond the screen. We've had families write to us for years asking for exactly this kind of experience, and this is our response. It's the first step in a much bigger vision for us: taking our characters beyond animation and into everyday life, starting with food, play, and storytelling brought together in one place.”
To further engage young visitors, the cafe will introduce Junior Chef Quest, a supervised cooking programme where children can participate in guided culinary activities. The company is also planning to launch a membership programme that will offer rewards, workshops, educational sessions, and exclusive experiences for members.

The initial rollout will focus on major Tier I cities through company-owned outlets before gradually adopting a franchise-led expansion model.
The partners aim to increase the network to 50 outlets over the next three years, depending on the performance of the first phase. The planned expansion is expected to create more than 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities across hospitality, kitchen operations, franchise management and support functions.

boAt has partnered with Legacy, a community-led talent platform judged by hip-hop artists KR$NA and Raftaar, as part of its efforts to support emerging creators and creative communities in India.
The collaboration builds on boAt's continued association with music, creators, and youth culture. The partnership is aimed at supporting platforms that help identify and nurture new talent while strengthening creator-led communities.
Legacy focuses on discovering emerging artists within India's growing hip-hop ecosystem. Through the partnership, boAt aims to contribute to the development of the next generation of creators by supporting a platform that encourages artistic expression and community engagement.
Commenting on the partnership, a boAt spokesperson said, "At boAt, we've always believed that the strongest communities create the biggest cultural movements. Every generation has creators who redefine music, challenge convention, and inspire millions. Legacy represents that spirit. Through this partnership, we're proud to support the next generation of artists and the communities helping them build India's cultural future."
KR$NA shared, "Having been associated with boAt as a brand ambassador, it’s exciting to now extend that partnership through Legacy. It’s great to see a brand continue to invest in the culture beyond campaigns and become part of a platform that helps discover and nurture the next generation of hip-hop talent. Hip-hop has always been driven by the community, and every new voice deserves the opportunity to be heard."
Raftaar added, "Every generation creates its own sound and its own culture. Legacy is about discovering those voices, but it’s equally about the community that supports them. We’re proud to have a brand like boAt backing this movement. When brands invest in communities rather than simply moments, they help strengthen the entire ecosystem and empower the next generation of artists."
The partnership comes as creator-led communities and independent music platforms continue to gain momentum in India. Through its association with Legacy, boAt aims to further its engagement with emerging talent and support the country's evolving creative and cultural ecosystem.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation (WBPA) has introduced a refreshed studio logo and opening sequence during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it also presented its theatrical release slate for 2026 to 2028.
The updated visual identity replaces the studio's previous glossy, textured shield with a design inspired by the look of traditional hand-painted animation. The new logo also features Tweety Pie flying alongside the iconic shield, while the "Animation" wordmark has been repositioned beneath the logo in a clean script-style typeface.
The redesigned opening sequence highlights the animation process through a short visual narrative. It begins with the studio's signature water tower, which changes through different colours and shades as the scene gradually transforms from a hand-drawn sketch into a fully painted animation. During the sequence, the earlier gold, glossy logo briefly appears before transitioning into the new matte version, reflecting the studio's renewed focus on the craftsmanship of traditional animation instead of computer-generated visuals.
Alongside the rebrand, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation confirmed its upcoming theatrical projects. The studio's slate includes The Cat in the Hat, scheduled to mark its theatrical debut in November 2026, as well as several films currently in development, including Tom & Jerry, Thundercats, Meerkats, Bad Fairies, and the original musical Prehistoria from creator Vivienne Medrano. During the festival, the studio also screened the new Looney Tunes short film, Daffy Season.
The refreshed studio logo will make its official theatrical debut with the release of The Cat in the Hat later this year.
